2016 WRX
Standard all-wheel drive; sharp handling; four-door practicality; improved interior; rally car pedigree
Following a 2015 redesign, Subaru has focused changes to the 2016 WRX and WRX STi strictly on interior convenience and safety. A new 6.2-inch Starlink multimedia touchscreen infotainment system is now standard on all trim levels, though a 7-inch system is available on select models. EyeSight Driver Assist -- which is integrated with adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, and lane departure warning -- is now available on WRXs equipped with the Sport Lineartronic continuously variable transmission. Meanwhile, blind spot detection, lane change assist, and rear cross traffic alert are now available on certain trims.
